  1. Emporia Farmers Market

    September 27, 2023, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
    @
700 Block of Merchant Street, Downtown Emporia, 700 Merchant St, Emporia, KS, 66801

The Farmers Market is where local and area farmers, growers, and artisans come together to sell their fresh produce, meats, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs and honey, and crafts directly to consumers. It is a place where shoppers can purchase locally sourced, seasonal produce and products while supporting their local economy. The market is more than just a shopping destination; it’s also a place to connect with the community. It’s where you can stop and talk to our vendors and ask them about their farming practices and techniques or what they’ve been up to lately and gain valuable insight into the local food system. In addition, we often have live performances by local musicians, cooking demos, and fun activities for children. It’s a place to celebrate our local food, where people can come together to support small businesses, connect with their neighbors, and taste and smell the flavors of the season.

COME ROCK OUT TO THE RETRO FRONT-PORCH JAMS OF THE ONE AND ONLY OZARK MOUNTAIN DAREDEVILS! The Ozark Mountain Daredevils have been aptly described as “a ragtag collection of hippies, bohemians, and musicians of no fixed ambition.” They have always been indefinable in terms of music genres, producing sounds of country-rock and electric bluegrass all on the same record; writing lyrics both whimsical and poetic, singing harmonies that would send shivers up your spine.  Their songs are regularly played on Classic Radio stations and, of course, songs like “If You Wanna Get To Heaven,” “Jackie Blue,” “Chicken Train,” “Standing On The Rock,” and countless others are still fan favorites across all media. Their current lineup of talented musicians allows the band to perform songs from every corner of their vast catalog, and they continue to delight Dareheads with their live performances.   Hop on the Chicken Train and jam out with the Ozark Mountain Daredevils on Friday, September 29th!  Don’t miss it!   GET TICKETS HERE!!
