The City of Emporia received notification from KDOT that they have been awarded the City Connecting Link Improvement Projects:
1. KDOT State Fiscal Year 2025 CCLIP- SP: Surface Preservation (SP) or mill and overlay plus pavement markings on K-99 (Commercial Street) from Kansas Avenue to 3rd Avenue (BNSF RR) and K-99 (Merchant Street) from 12th Avenue to I-35 in the amount of $400,000 for construction and construction engineering.
2. KDOT State Fiscal Year 2026 CCLIP-GI: Geometric Improvements (GI) to reconstruct shoulders to add two-way center turn lane, storm drainage, safety improvements, entrances, sidewalk, and pavement markings on K-99 (Commercial Street) from Soden Bridge to Kansas Avenue in the amount of $1,200,000 for preliminary engineering, construction, and construction engineering.
