Emporia Fire Department was dispatched to 217 Union, Emporia, Kansas for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, there was significant fire coming from the front of the structure. No automatic aid responded for this call.
Fire Crews utilizing a single hose line were able to make a quick attack on the fire and get it under control. The gas and electric to the building were shut off. There was extensive damage to the front third of the house with smoke damage throughout.
The cause of the fire in under investigation at this time The property owner is Francisco Pinon Responding Units:
